Poul Kjaerholm One-Legged Chair drawing 1953

Price: On Application

Here is a very rare and desirable vintage Working drawing poster displaying a 1953 prototype representation of the One-Legged or stacking chair by the Danish designer Poul Kjærholm. An image of the poster is printed in the catalogue ‘Poul Kjaerholm Furniture Architect, Louisiana Museum Denmark, page 45’.
One of the profects from Poul Kjaerholm that were modeled but never prototyped was the One-Legged stacking chair of laminated wood and spring steel. The One-Legged chair was the first in a series that Kjaerholm designer for Chris Sorensen, an upholsterer who hoped to become a furniyure manufacturer. Kjaerholm later prototyped two chairs for Sorensen, but neither of them put into serial production.
